  • overtaking parked and moving vehicles ( is it safe, legal, necessary?);
  • Continuing junction, crossroad and roundabout practise;
  • Awareness of cyclists/pedestrians/horse riders/motor cyclists;
  • Anticipating the unexpected;
  • Going through aspects of safety distances;
  • Emergency stop;
  • Manoeuvre turn-in -road.

 

Skill Set 6

Working on skills already obtained;

  • Awareness of cyclists/pedestrians/horse riders/motor cyclists;
  • 
Anticipating the unexpected;
  • Making sure full understanding of all exists at roundabouts;
  • traffic light controlled junctions and roundabouts;
  • Understanding and identifying the different pedestrian crossings;
  • Manoeuvre – parallel park;
  • Practising hill start.

  • Understanding block changing and its benefits;
  • Understanding Eco driving ;
  • Understanding One way streets;
  • 
Awareness of cyclists/pedestrians/horse riders/motor cyclists;

  • Manoeuvre- reverse round corner;

Manoeuvre – bay park.

 

Skill Set 8

Working on skills already obtained;

  • 
Explaining entering and leaving dual carriageways slip roads;
  • Explaining distances/ lane discipline on faster roads;
  • Keeping up with the flow of traffic;
  • Explaining overtaking on dual carriageways;
  • 
Practising block changing;
- Awareness of cyclists/pedestrians/horse riders/motor cyclists; – Anticipating the unexpected;
- Manoeuvre – parallel park.

 

Skill Set 9

Working on skills already obtained ;

  • Going over all areas covered in this section of training with regard to all areas of driving;
  • Manoeuvre that is weakest skill;
  • Looking under the bonnet of the car and going through any questions with regard to “show me tell me “.

During the next section less verbal instruction is used but questions are asked to gain understanding and knowledge of skill set;
