Legalities

Please bring with you your provisional licence both parts.
It is also necessary that you have an eye sight check. You must be able to see with clarity a car registration number plate at a minimum distance of 20.5 meters.
The Scottish government in 2014 lowered the legal limit of blood alcohol level, please see Scottish road traffic act on the link page. I have a zero tolerance to alcohol or other substance, and if necessary you can be asked to use a breathalyser.

If you require to cancel a booked lesson, please bare in mind that I am a self employed individual, and that a cancelled lesson is a loss in income for myself as I will not be able to allocate another client to that slot.
If you do require to cancel a lesson, please notify me, via mobile or text as soon as you can, preferably with at least 2 days notice. I obviously understand that situations and issues can arise at last minute but clients not cancelling before 24 hours notice will generally forfeit their lesson fee.
Likewise, it is sometimes necessary for me to rearrange a lesson, for example when another clients test has been re-arranged by the DSA. However, this would always be with a reasonable notice period.

I believe in giving a good service, and I allow adequate times being allocated between lessons, however, situations can arise that may mean I can run late for appointments times, eg traffic issues, or issues with a previous client out with my control. In this unlikely event, pick up at appointment times might be delayed. I will always endeavour to be punctual. If a lesson is started late a full lesson time will be appointed.
My car and insurance
My car has been fitted with He-Mann dual controls by an approved and licensed He-Mann technician. My car is fully insured for the purposes of training and driving tests. My car will be presented in a clean orderly fashion and as a non smoker free from any offensive odours.

It is preferable that payments for lessons are paid in cash. I also accept cheque payments, made payable to ” Niki Cunningham School of Motoring Ltd”.

It is up to you as an individual to book your theory and hazard perception test. Please see the link on the website links page
It is also up to you as an individual to book your practical test (please see the link of the website links page) once we have agreed that you have all necessary skill sets that are at test standard.
Once you have secured a date and time for your test, please notify me as soon as possible so that I can block off this time and date in my diary.
I charge a 2 hour lesson payment for a practical test. The hour prior to the test time, will be dedicated to final preparations for your test, you will then have my car for your test, and then you will be driven home.
You will be notified directly by the DSA if your practical test has been cancelled or rescheduled. Again please notify me as soon as this happens, if it happens.
